River Luxury Cruise — Aqua Nera & Aria Amazon
Sacred Valley:
The Heart of the Inca Empire
After four unforgettable days cruising deep in the Amazon, we trade jungle waterways for Andean valleys—where Inca history and mountain scenery take center stage. The Sacred Valley is where we shift from rainforest to high Andes—at a gentler altitude that helps you acclimatize comfortably before Cusco and Machu Picchu. Over these days, you’ll see why this region powered an empire: Inca terraces carved into mountainsides, the gleaming salt ponds of Maras, and living traditions in villages and artisan markets. Think of it as the perfect balance of culture and ease—scenic walks, meaningful local encounters, and farm-to-table flavors—all setting you up for the big moments still ahead.
Day 7|Sacred Valley - Hacienda Orihuela
After days deep in the Amazon, we rise into the Andes. Upon arrival in Cusco, you’ll be warmly welcomed and privately transferred into the Sacred Valley — a gentler altitude that allows for a smooth transition into the highlands. As the mountains draw closer and the air turns crisp, the landscape shifts dramatically from rainforest green to golden valley light. Lunch at Casa Hacienda Orihuela offers a relaxed and elegant introduction to the region. The Orihuela family welcomes you into their historic home, where Andean art, thoughtful hospitality, and seasonal cuisine set the tone for your time in the valley. The afternoon is intentionally unhurried — time to settle in, explore the hotel grounds, and rest — so you feel refreshed and ready for the extraordinary days ahead.

Machu Picchu:
The Lost City of the Incas
Board the Vistadome from Ollantaytambo and follow the Urubamba River as the valley narrows and the cloud forest closes in around you. On arrival at Aguas Calientes, your guide escorts you up to the citadel — and that first view, in person, delivers exactly what you hoped for. We explore at a calm pace — terraces, temples, ceremonial spaces — with enough time to stop, ask questions, and let it land. After the visit, lunch in Aguas Calientes before the train returns you to the valley and a private transfer brings you back to Cusco for the night.
Day 9|Scenic Train Journey to Machu Picchu
Today is the one everyone dreams about. From Ollantaytambo, we take the scenic train to Aguas Calientes, tracing the river as the valley narrows and the landscape shifts. On arrival, your private guide escorts you up to Machu Picchu. And then it happens — the first view, the silence, the scale. We explore at a calm pace, moving through terraces, temples, and ceremonial spaces while your guide shares the stories and meaning behind what you’re seeing. There’s time for photos, time to take it in, and time to simply stand still and let the place land. Afterward, we descend for lunch, then return by train and private transfer to Cusco. A day you’ll carry with you.

Cusco:
The Imperial City
The Grand Expedition closes in imperial Cusco — three final days to explore Sacsayhuamán fortress, Qorikancha, the Cathedral, and the open Andean landscapes of Palcoyo Mountain before departure.
Day 10|Cusco City Highligths - Leissure afternoon
This morning, we explore Cusco at a comfortable pace — the former capital of the Inca Empire. With your private guide, you’ll visit the Cathedral on the Main Square, the sacred Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun), and Sacsayhuamán, where monumental stonework overlooks the city. The afternoon is intentionally open — time to rest, enjoy Cusco on your own, or slow down before tomorrow’s high-altitude experience: Palcoyo Mountain, a quieter alternative to Vinicunca (Raimbow Mountain). Tomorrow we trade city streets for open Andean horizons — with Palcoyo’s colors and wide views, without the crowds.
