Where Modern Flavors Meet Pacific Heritage

Itinerary

Lima:

Where Modern Flavors Meet Pacific Heritage

Lima is the kind of city that surprises you in the best way—historic balconies and plazas on one side, bold contemporary art and design on the other, all with the Pacific close enough that you can feel the sea breeze as you walk. Each neighborhood has its own vibe, from the coastal promenades perfect for an easy sunset stroll to streets lined with cafés, galleries, and small discoveries you’d never find on a checklist. And if you love food, Lima is a must: from iconic ceviche to world-recognized restaurants, every meal becomes part of the trip.—simple moments that make you want to stay just a little longer.

Day 1|Half Day-Evening Tour Larco Museum

Larco Museum is one of those places in Lima that makes Peru’s past feel easy to understand—without needing a history degree. You walk into an 18th-century viceroyal mansion surrounded by gardens, and then follow galleries that move through thousands of years of ancient Peru in a clear, chronological flow. Along the way you’ll see everything from everyday objects to remarkable ceramics, and yes—the famous erotic gallery, which offers a thoughtful window into how pre-Hispanic cultures understood life, fertility, and the human body. A favorite detail: the museum also opens its “visible storage,” so you can literally see rows of catalogued pieces up close, like stepping behind the scenes.

Paracas:

Paracas & Nazca Lines:

Paracas is a clean reset on Peru’s southern coast—where sand dunes and wind-carved cliffs meet the Pacific, and the scenery does most of the talking. You can spend time inside the Paracas National Reserve for those “desert + ocean” viewpoints, then hop on a boat out to the Ballestas Islands to spot sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and big seabird colonies from the water. If you’re up for one of Peru’s biggest “how is this real?” moments, Paracas also pairs naturally with a short flight over the Nazca Lines—giant geoglyphs scratched into the desert between roughly 500 BC and AD 500, best appreciated from above. It’s a simple add-on that brings a whole new layer of history into the mix.

Day 3|Pachacamac & Paracas National Reserve

Today we will visit Pachacamac, one of the most important pre-Columbian ceremonial centers located south of Lima. For centuries, it served as a major pilgrimage site dedicated to the creator god Pachacamac and was later expanded by the Incas. Its temples and pyramids offer a fascinating glimpse into the spiritual and cultural traditions of ancient Andean civilizations. We will then continue to Paracas National Reserve, where dramatic desert cliffs meet the vast Pacific Ocean. Along the way, we’ll stop at scenic viewpoints and coastal highlights such as Playa Roja, known for its striking red sand, and the peaceful cove of La Mina Beach, where the waters are often calm and crystal clear. Wildlife sightings are also part of the experience, making this coastal landscape even more memorable.

Nazca Lines:

Desert Mysteries & Pacific Wildlife

Two contrasting days on Peru's southern coast — a scenic overflight above the iconic Nazca geoglyphs paired with a desert dune adventure, then a morning boat excursion to the wildlife-packed Ballestas Islands before flying onward to Cusco.

Day 4|Private Nazca Lines Overflight & Desert Dunes Adventure

Day 4 is all about big-scale Peru, the kind you feel in your chest. A scenic flight over the Nazca Lines gives you the clearest view of these enormous ancient figures carved into the desert, and it’s genuinely hard not to be amazed when the shapes start appearing beneath you. On the ground, the desert delivers a completely different kind of fun with towering dunes, open landscapes, and the option to hop into a 4x4 dune ride and try sandboarding if you’re up for it. It’s a high-energy day with a strong sense of place, combining one of Peru’s greatest archaeological mysteries with pure desert adventure.

Cusco:

The Heart of the Inca Empire

Cusco and the Sacred Valley are where Peru’s history feels close enough to touch. In Cusco, you’ll wander cobblestone streets where Inca stonework sits beneath colonial balconies, and every turn seems to reveal another layer of the city’s past. Just outside, the Sacred Valley opens up with a gentler rhythm and wide Andean landscapes, making it a comfortable base before Machu Picchu. Here, terraces, salt pans, and archaeological sites tell the story of ancient engineering and tradition, while small villages, artisan markets, and farm-fresh meals keep the experience warm and grounded. It’s the kind of place that blends culture and scenery so naturally you don’t have to choose between them.

Day 6|Cusco Half Day city Tour - Hacienda Orihuela

Today is a great chance to see Cusco with context and without rushing. With your guide, you’ll visit the city’s key landmarks, including the Main Square and Cusco Cathedral, then Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun), where finely fitted Inca stonework and colonial architecture share the same space in a way that’s uniquely Cusco, then drive partially throught out the sacred valley and get a relaxed lunch at Casa Hacienda Orihuela is a lovely introduction to the valley. The Orihuela family hosts you with warmth, and their home is filled with an impressive collection of Andean art that adds a meaningful cultural touch without feeling formal. After lunch, the rest of the day is kept open for settling in, enjoying the hotel grounds, and resting up, so you’re refreshed and ready for what’s coming next.

Sacred Valley:

Valley of the Incas

One day in the Sacred Valley packs in the essential Inca highlights — the monumental fortress-temple of Ollantaytambo, the enigmatic circular terraces of Moray, and the cascading salt pans of Maras that have been harvested since before the Incas.

Day 7|Ollantaytambo, Maras - Moray

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, set out for the fertile Urubamba Valley, the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Here, explore the remarkable fortress-temple of Ollantaytambo, where massive stone terraces rise dramatically along the hillside. This impressive complex once served as a strategic military stronghold and a ceremonial center, with a temple aligned for both worship and astronomical observation. Continue to Moray, home to a series of striking circular terraces. These concentric formations are believed to have been an advanced agricultural laboratory, where the Incas experimented with diverse crops and microclimates at varying elevations. The journey then leads to the nearby colonial town of Maras to visit the spectacular Salineras de Maras. Comprising thousands of individual salt pans cascading down the mountainside, these ancient pools have been used for salt extraction since pre-Inca times and continue to be harvested by local families today.

Machu Picchu:

The Lost City of the Incas

Board the Vistadome at Ollantaytambo and disembark at KM 104, where the Inca Trail begins. Original stone steps climb through cloud forest past ancient ruins to the Sun Gate — where your first view of Machu Picchu arrives on foot. The night is spent in Aguas Calientes, ready for the full citadel experience the following morning.

Day 8|KM 104 - One Day Inca Trail to Machupicchu

Today is your Machu Picchu approach day, and it’s a special one because you arrive on foot, through the Andes, following a section of the Inca Trail. The route is manageable but rewarding, with cloud-forest scenery, Inca stonework, and sites along the way that make the trail feel like part of the story, not just the path to the destination. The real payoff is reaching the Sun Gate and getting your first view of Machu Picchu from above, a moment that usually goes quiet because everyone is just taking it in. After that first look, the day stays focused on the arrival experience, while the full guided visit inside the citadel is saved for the next day, so you can enjoy it with fresh energy and without rushing.

The Imperial City

The journey closes at Machu Picchu itself — a full guided visit to the citadel's main viewpoints and key areas before the scenic train return to Cusco. Day 10 brings an early transfer to the airport and the final farewell to the Inca world.

Day 9|The Citadel of Machu Picchu & Return to Cusco

Today is the day you really get to meet Machu Picchu. With your guide, you’ll explore the citadel’s main viewpoints and key areas, so the site feels less like a postcard and more like a place with purpose, design, and story. If you want to add a physical challenge, you can also choose an extra hike to Huayna Picchu for that dramatic top-down view, or Machu Picchu Mountain for wider panoramas across the valley, depending on permits and availability. After the visit, there’s time to head back down to Aguas Calientes for a relaxed lunch and a breather before the journey back. The return train ride is part of the experience too, with beautiful Sacred Valley scenery unfolding outside the windows on the way to Ollantaytambo. From there, a private transfer takes you back to Cusco, and by the time you’re back in the city, it feels like you’ve just lived through one of those rare days that stays with you long after the trip ends.
